So I'm Lazy

Tue Nov 21, 2006, 2:23 PM
  • Mood: I Have To Pee
  • Listening to: X-Amount of Words - Blue October
  • Watching: Random animes from my collection
  • Playing: Neopets
  • Drinking: Water
It's been a month and I still haven't uploaded some of my old Beetlejuice art to archive. I'm being very lazy. Oh, well, I'll get around to it sometime since I still want to do it. It's just a matter of when.

I'd kind of like to start drawing again because I'm being very inspired by *furan-san's yummy buff guy art, but...I've got "performance" issues. Like, I'm afraid to draw anything basically because it's been a long time since I put pencil to paper, and I'm worried it'll suck horribly and further degrade my will to draw. And if I did go to draw something, I have no idea what it would be. I can't just start drawing and not know what it'll turn out to be. I have to know beforehand so I have a goal to reach, if that makes sense. I'd appreciate some advice on these matters. :)

So now I'm 22 weeks pregnant, and at the end of my 5th month (as of this journal). Still no real food cravings. I have to remind myself to eat, and that sucks. (I should be eating right now, but I don't feel like it.) I haven't gained any weight either, and if I don't by my next doctor visit, they're going to order another ultrasound to see if everything is okay. Oh, and my unborn child likes to dance on my bladder and spin circles in my gut. =P GUH it feels weird.

ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO HAS NEVER HAD A BABY: Don't get pregnant unless you REALLY want it. Because if you're anything like me, it might suck.

And yesterday was my birthday.

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! D

My cousin just had a baby, and trust me, it'll totally be worth it in the end. :) Babies are just so kewt an' squishible. :3

For the drawing thing, I suggest just grabbing a peice of paper and doodling. Anything. Draw random HEADS for all the good it'll do. :D It'll get you back up to speed. Though I don't do that particularly, it's my method when writing. :B

Happy Birthday! And ... draw! Who cares if you like what you draw, when rusty the only cure for the rust is to... go at it till the rust is gone. Yes.

Happy birthday, and I send my best wishes for your pregnancy, including hopes that you gain the amount of weight that you're supposed to.
For inspiration, I've been making use of the 100 Art Challenge. And don't be so worried that every piece of your art isn't a masterpiece--that's fine, and the people who watch and enjoy your art (all of us!) will support you no matter what.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AND CONGRADULATIONS!!!

eat something *tosses cookie bag at you*. it's not good for you to not eat, and especially not good for your baby. btw, I think you're gonna have a dancer on your hands.

I dunno if I can handle a 100 art challenge. I might not get done until 2010! :XD: But I guess you're right; not everything I do has to be a masterpiece. It's just daunting when I see others' art and every piece looks like it couldn't be made better, ya know? Blah, maybe I'll just sketch some stuff or something...like take a couple of the 100 art challenges that I find interesting. :D

Thanks for the advice and warm wishes. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! Mmmm turkey....
