Depending on how things go, this may be my last journal entry for a while. Lots of stuff is going on right now, and I barely have time to conduct online leisure activities...like checking dA for instance. So bear with me while I'm struggling through life. =P This journal is to let folks who read it (and care) know what's happenend and what will happen with me. Bear with me, please. ^^;

Okay... Saturday, February 17 was my first baby shower. That was pretty fun, and I got lots of clothes for my baby. LOTS of clothes...and an overload of pink. I hate pink now more than before. It's so annoying how people associate having a girl with the color pink, and so they go overboard and give gifts of nothing BUT pink. Ick. But still, I'm very grateful for every gift. We received lots of items we couldn't afford on our own.

One week later, Saturday, Feb 24, my hubby's mom's side of the family gave us a baby shower too. They gave us some of the larger items that we needed, like a car seat/stroller combo and a play yard. Very useful items. Again, we were very grateful for everything we got.

That same evening, when we returned home, I was checking eBay because we'd been selling a few things to make some extra money. One person hadn't gotten their package yet, and was flipping out. They accused me of credit card fraud and was going to report me. Just because the postal system hadn't delivered their package yet. They should have contacted their post office about that and not me, because it wasn't MY fault that the package hadn't gotten there in time. I emailed the person a copy of the receipt of when I mailed their package and (grudgingly) gave them a refund, just to get them to shut up and not ruin my 100% postitive feedback record. I blocked them too, under the advice of my neighbor who is very good with situations like those. That person was either new to eBay or just there to cause problems because they only had 2 pieces of feedback, and one was from me. I was very upset about it. Cried a little. I mean, who wants to have their credibility questioned and threatened for doing nothing wrong? Since then, I haven't heard anything from that person, and I hope I never do again. Good riddance.

Again, that same night, not 20 minutes after THAT fiasco, I'm talking to my mom on the phone. She informs me that my grandmother on my dad's side had passed away that same day. What a kick in the face. I was devistated. (Wow, it's really hard to write this part...) ... So um, anyway, my parents came to pick me up the next day so I could attend the viewing on Monday and the funeral on Tuesday. My hubby couldn't come right away, but he was there for the funeral. His arm around my back was a real help.

My grandma was 96. I loved her so very much. This is going to hurt me for a while...

Tuesday night, we came back home.

Wednesday morning, the next day, at 11 in the morning, the first house on my block (I'm the 4th house of 5...so there are 2 houses between me and the first house)...the house...well, exploded. Literally. BOOM! My entire house shook back and forth and up and down, cabinet doors popped open, dishes rattled, a few things fell off of shelves. I screamed, thinking someone ran into the front of my house with their car! I ran outside panicked, only to see wood and debris all over the road and what was once a house, a pile of rubble with a roof laying on top. People were smelling gas and made everyone get back. I ran back in the house and tried to gather some valuables just in case my house was in line to blow up! All I could think to grab was photo albums and the cordless phone. I didn't even take my purse. I called my hubby at work and told him what happened. He was just happy I was okay and not in labor. =P So I took everything outside and watched the exploded house burn from my back yard. I could feel the heat, the fire was so hot. Then a cop made me (and others) get back and walk over to the little stip mall parking lot about 20 or 30 feet away. I watched firefighters battle the fire, listened to people talking about what happened, watched police tape off the entire block. I wasn't allowed back into my own house. Firefighters even broke down 2 of my downstairs neighbor's doors, trying to see if anyone was home. My neighbor was pissed when he found out! =P Oh, and a front window of my house blew out from the explosion too...he wasn't happy about that either.

So there I was, a 9-month-pregnant woman, standing out in the cold for over 3 hours, unable to get back inside her own house because someone else's house on the block exploded. My week really sucked. My hubby couldn't get to me right away either because they were diverting traffic away and were blocking roads. Eventually, he had to tell someone at one of the blocks that his 9 month pregnant wife was in the middle of everything and she might not be wearing shoes! :XD: (I DID have shoes and a coat, but it was so cold.) So they let him through then.

By the time we were able to leave, I was starving because I hadn't eaten anything that morning yet, and I was reeking of smoke from the fire. We ate at the Burger King down the road. Our whole day was shot.

Anyway, the house exploded because of a gas leak in the lines. No one was home at the time. No one at all got hurt, which is a miracle. The house next door to the one that blew up received damage however. It burned some and the people lost a lot of valuables. My hubby and I are fortunate that we're okay, and nothing bad happened to (our portion of) the house.

The next day though, I hadn't felt the baby moving for over an hour and a half (which could be a sign of fetal distress). And after all that happened over the last 5 days, I wasn't taking chances. We went to the hospital and had a fetal stress test done, which is where they hook me up to a fetal monitor and monitor the baby for about 20 minutes, looking for specific things with movement and heart rate. My baby was fine, and it put my and my hubby's worries to rest.

So now that the bad news is all done with, I can get to other stuff.

Been playing Animal Crossing a lot lately. That game is so fun and addicting! I've also been watching judge shows now that we have an antenna hooked up to the TV. Judge Maria Lopez, People's Court, Judge Hatchet, and Judge Mathis. Oh yeah. I love watching people get their butts handed to them in court. :XD: I've been into word finds lately too, and I'm putting a jiggsaw puzzle together on the kitchen table. It's of a tiger surrounded by lilies. So pretty. When I get it done, I'm going to hang it in the baby's "room". (By "room", I mean small cove between our bedroom and the bathroom. It's really tight in our little apartment.)

I could have the baby any time now, my doc says. I'm full term, so whenever the baby decides she's baked enough, she can come out. =P And after that kidney stone, I know what labor will most likely be like, so I know what to request for pain relief. Morphine. :XD: That or an epidural, but having my entire lower half go numb has me on the edgy side.

Oh, a word about my website, BJ's Fan Site. It's apparently down. For some reason my web host has deleted it without my knowledge. Since I find them untrustworthy and unreliable at this point, I'll be looking into getting a new server. I don't know when I'll have the site back up because everything else in my life is a little more important right now, but eventually, hopefully, I'll have it up and running again. Impatient people can kiss my behind. =P

Well, I guess I'm done. Another long entry. But I don't write them often, so I guess it's to be expected. Again, this might be the last one for a while. When baby comes, my life will be consumed with her care, and recovering from delivery.

Thanks for reading. ^_^

I'm sorry to hear about all the tragedy you've experienced lately (and the idiot on eBay). I hope everything goes all right through your delivery and recovery. I'll see what I can do about donations (college tends to mess things up a bit financially). My love to you, hubby and baby!

Take care and we'll hear from you when we hear from you. :)

It's good your moving your site, because when i went there there was a trojan of some sort on there that kept popping a window open asking me to install something, so I fully agree with your server moving. Might I suggest Freewebs or even Tripod?
